what are administrative crimes? violations of federal and state agency rules that make up a controversial but rapidly growing source of criminal law
how many criminal codes does the federal system have? 52 codes one for each of the 50 states. One for the district of columbia and one for the U.S. criminal code.
what are the two major purposes of the ex post facto? One is to protect private individuals by ensuring that legislatures give the fair warning about what is criminal and they can rely on it. The other is directed at preventing legislators from passing arbitrary and vindictive laws.
