Unit X - Relationships - Level 1

TermDefinition
Shared Responsibility A collaborative approach where multiple parties take on specific roles to achieve a common goal
Fairness A quality of treating people equally or in a way that is right or reasonable
Mutual Directed by each toward the other or the others
Respect A feeling of admiration or high regard for someone or something
Abuse When someone causes us harm or distress often the people who commit are taking advantage of a relationship
Compromise To reach an agreement by giving up something in order to find common ground
Boundaries Guidelines that define what's acceptable in a relationship or situation
Physical Affection A way of showing love and connection through touch
Open Communication A style of communication that encourages people to share their ideas, concerns, and feedback
Acceptance Taking something given to you
Communication A process by which information is exchanged between individuals through a common system of language, symbols, signs, or behavior
Decision Making The act or process of deciding something especially with a group of people
Honesty The quality of being truthful sincere, and fair, and the absence of lying or cheating
Trust A firm belief in someone or something's character, ability, strength, or truth
Negotiation The art of reaching a mutual agreement through discussion and compromise
Accountability The acknowledgment of and assumption of responsibility for actions products, decisions, and policies.
