Think Win-Win
Term | Definition |
---|---|
Win-Win | You and the other person wins or neither of you do. Both parties gain. High courage and high consideration. |
Win-Lose | Winning isn't enough, the other party has to lose. Only one party gains and the other loses. High courage, low consideration. |
Lose-Win | You'll rather lose so the only person wins, even if that might not be want you want. High consideration, low courage. |
Lose-Lose | You'll jeopardize yourself and just so the other party loses as well. Low courage and low consideration. |
Emotional Deposit | Doing something that helps the relationship in both party's eyes. Examples; Kindness, keep your word, forgive, apologize, avoid gossiping and set clear expectations. |
Emotional Withdrawal | Doing something that hurts the relationship, can be both or just one party that it effects negatively. Examples; Gossiping, telling others what someone told you in confidence, not keeping your word, not apologizing or being able to forgive. |
