Communication

Match the methods of communication with the types of communication!

TermDefinition
Verbal Communication: any form of communication the occurs through spoken word; involves speaking clearly and listening.
Example of verbal communication: having a phone call or talking to an adult or friend.
Nonverbal Communication any form of communication that is not transmitted through spoken word; relies on body language and facial expressions to convey messages.
Example of nonverbal communication: smiling or eye contact.
Visual Communication: the transfer of information to a person in a format that can be read or viewed; uses visual elements like images and graphs.
Example of visual communication: advertisements or labels.
Written Communication involves the use of words, sentences, and paragraphs in order to relay information; entails crafting clear written messages.
Example of written communication: emails or letters.
