Dosage | Adult Initially 300–400 mg 3–4 times a day; increased if necessary up to 600 mg 4 times a day; maintenance 200–400 mg 3 times a day, may be adequate. |
Complications with taking Ibuprofen | known to increase the risk of gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding and ulceration, especially when used for prolonged periods or at high doses |
Allergic disorders relating to Ibuprofen | Heart problems Stroke risk Bleeding issues Connective tissue disorders Dehydration, especially risky for kidney function Increased risk for serious side effects, especially in older adults Worsening heart failure History of GI disorders like ulcera |
