| Biological Risk Factor | The traits that are handed down to you by your biological parents |
| Environmental Risk Factor | How your surroundings impact your health |
| Behavioral Risk Factor | The decisions you make and your actions which influence your health in both positive and negative ways. |
| Communicable Diseases | Diseases caused by pathogens that spread through contact among living organisms and objects, also called infectious diseases. |
| Noncommunicable Disease | Diseases that develop due to genetic, behavioral, and environmental factors. |
| Examples of Biological Risk Factors | Body shape, Eye color, Risk for certain diseases, Obesity, Diabetes, Cancer |
