| Advancement | Having opportunity for promotion and advancement to more challenging responsibiliteis. |
| Flexibility | Being able to choose your work schedule, such as 9 to 5 Monday through Friday or day shift. |
| Leadership Opportunities | Managing for supervising thee work of other people. |
| Ability | Something a person does well. |
| Career Plan | A tool that shows you how to achieve your career goals. |
| Academic Plan | A document that you use to set goals for the things you want to accomplish while you are in school. |
| Job Outlook | The expectation or prospect of a particular job in the future. |
| Applicant | A person applying for a job. |
| Certified | A person who has received a certificate that shows he or she demonstrates understanding. |
| Full Time | Describes a job requiring between 32-40 hours per week. |
| Part Time | Describe a job requiring fewer than 32 hours per week. |
| Cover Letter | A letter that introduces you to a potential employer. |
| Resume | A document that provides details about your work history and accomplishments. |
| Professional | One who is paid for their work. |
| Appearance | The way someone or something looks. |

| Hygiene | The practice of keeping clean. |
| Associate Degree | Two year degree in an Associate of Arts (A.A.) or Associate of Science (A.S.) |
| Bachelor's Degree | Four or five year degree college program. Most students earn a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science (B.S.). Other types of bachelor's degrees include Bachelor of Fine Arts or Bachelor of Architecture degree. |
| Graduate Degree | This is an advanced degree pursued after earning a bachelors degree. Examples are Master's of Arts (M.A.) or Master of Science (M.S.) |
