binge drinking consuming four drinks for females and five drinks for males on the same occasion
blood alcohol concentration (BAC) percentage of alcohol in a person's blood
detoxification process of completely stopping all alcohol use to remove the substance from the body
enabling encouraging a person's unhealthy behaviors, either intentionally or unintentionally
heavy drinking consuming 8 or more drinks for females and 15 or more drinks for males in one week
inhibition self-control that keeps people from taking dangerous risks
moderate drinking consuming one drink per day for woman, two drinks per day for men; also called social drinking
zero-tolerance policy rule that results in punishment of young people caught driving with any level of alcohol in their system
