Cones | cone-shaped cells within the retina that are color sensitive and react to bright light |
retina | innermost layer that perceives and transmits light to the optic nerve |

miotic | this causes the pupil to contract |
eye instillation | giving eye drops to affected eyes |
eye irrigation | cleaning the eye with water/ other solutions |

cryoretinopexy | use of intense cold to seal a hole or tear in the retina. treatment for retinal detachment |

refractive errors | improper focus on the retina due to defects in the bending of light as it enters the eye |
