How are genetic conditions inherited? Each cell in the body contains 23 pairs of chromosomes. One chromosome from each pair is inherited from your mother and one is inherited from your father.
What are examples of Inherited conditions/characteristics? Diabetes Parkinson’s disease Eye colour Hair colour Sickle cell anaemia
What is does the term environmental factors mean? Things that affect development which a linked to the surroundings a person is in or is/has experienced​.
The 4 types of play stages children go through are? Solitary play (playing on own)​, by 2 years, parallel play (playing alongside others)​, moves on to social play (playing with others)​ cooperative play – sharing, using imagination together, get involved in role play, dressing up​.
How does culture influence people? How people develop is influenced by the community they live in and the beliefs which their family and friends hold.
What are examples of genetic conditions? Colour blindness, Cystic Fibrosis, Sickle cell, Dwarfism, Huntington's disease.
