| How is compassionate care defined? What is another name for compassionate care? | Also known as person centred care. Uses DIPPS principles: dignity, indpendence, preferences, privacy, safety. |
| Define ADLs | Activities of Daily Living: self-care activities people perform daily to remain independent and to function in society. |
| Define IADLs | Instrumental activities of daily living; The complex skills needed to successfully live independently. |
| Rehabilitation | Restoring person to the highest possible level of functioning through the use of therapy, exercise, or other methods. |
