| Atrophy | Muscles shrink/get smaller |
| Hypertrophy | Muscles get stronger/bigger |
| Force | A push or pull on a object (you) |
| Power | Max force in a short time; strength + speed= power |
| Resistance | A force that makes movement harder |
| Individual | Your own; singular; unique |
| Aerobic | With oxygen; exercise that improves the cardiovascular system (heart & lung) system |
| Anaerobic | Without; oxygen; short time and max effort |
| Hydration | Adding of fluid into the body |
| Dehydration | Loss or removal of water that is harmful to the body |
| Specific | Exercise in a similar way to match goals or how your body will need to preform |
| Resting heart rate | Lowest heart rate your body is cable of ;lower=better |
| Stroke volume | How much blood your heart pumps out per contraction |
| Endorphins | Hormones released during exercise that make you feel happy (runner high) |
| Epinephrine | Hormone body releases when you are stressed (in trouble); too much is bad |
