| Physical Health | How your body grows and changes inside and out. |
| Mental/Emotional Health | How you think and feel |
| Social Health | How you interact with people. |
| Health | combination of hpysical, mental/emotional, and social well-being. |
| Wellness | an overall state of well-being, total health |
| Adolescence | the stage of life between childhood and adulthood. |
| Lifestyle Factors | behaviors and habits that help determine a person's level of health and wellness |
| Risk Behavior | actions or behaviors that might cause injury or harm to yourself or others |
| Abstinence | the conscious, active choice not to participate in high-risk behaviors |
| choices | the act of selected or making a descision |
| assertive | Behaving with confidence and clearly stating your intentions |
| relaxation | the state of beeing free from tension and anxiety |
| decision making | The process of making a choice or finding a solution |
| empathy | The ability of understand and share another person's feelings |
| healthful behaviors | Promotes health, prevents injury, premature death, and improves the quality of the enviorment. |
| heredity | passing of traits from parents to children |
| enviornment | The sum total of a person's surroundings |
| passive | a tendancy to give up, give in, or back down. |
| aggressive | overly forceful, pushy, hostile, or otherwise attacking in approach. |
| coping | Ways of dealing with the sense of stress or loss |
| depression | a state of constantly feeling sad. |
