| Term | Definition |

| Aerobic Power | The maximum rate of energy production from the aerobic system |
| Body Composition | The proportions of bone, muscle and fat within the body |
| Flexibility | The capacity of a joint to move through its full range of motion. Two types: static and dynamic |
| Muscular Strength | The maximal force that can be generated by a muscle or muscle group in one maximal effort. |
| Muscular Endurance | The ability of a muscle or muscle group to perform repeated actions (isoinertial or isokinetic) or to maintain an isometric action for an extended period of time. |
| Agility | A rapid, whole body movement with change in velocity to direction in response to a stimulus |
| Anaerobic Power | The maximum rate of energy production from the anaerobic systems |
| Balance | The ability to control the body's equilibrium while stationary or moving |
| Coordination | Control of body parts to complete a sequence of movements |
| Muscular Power | The ability to exert a force rapidly, over a short period of time |
| Reaction Time | The time it takes the body to react to an external stimulus |
| Speed | The rate of motion |
| Anaerobic Capacity | Total amount of work that can be done by the anaerobic systems |
