Preventing Disease

QuestionAnswer
Disease Any condition that interferes with the proper functioning body and mind.
Communicable Disease Disease that can be spread to a person from another person, and animal, or an object.
Pathogens Germs that ause diseases.
Germs Organisms that are so small they can only be seen through a microscope.
Viruses Smallest and simplest pathogens.
Bacteria Simple one-celled organisms.
Fungi Organisms that are more complex than bacteria but cannot make their own food.
Protozoa One-celled organisms that are more complex than bacteria.
Vector An organism, such as an insect, that transmitts pathogens.
