Sexually Transmitted Diseases

sexually transmitted diseaes infections that are spread from person to person
Chlymadia a very small parasitic bacterium that, like a virus, requires the biochemical mechanisms of another cell in order to reproduce. Bacteria of this type cause various diseases including trachoma, psittacosis, and nonspecific urethritis.

Genitial Herpes a disease characterized by blisters in the genital area, caused by a variety of the herpes simplex virus.
Genitial Warts growths or bumps in the genitial area caused by certain types of the hum papillomavirus
Trichomoniasis an STD caused by the protozoan Trichomonas vaginalis
Gonorrhea a bacterial STD that affects the mucous membranes of the body, particularly in the genital area
Syphilis a chronic bacterial disease that is contracted chiefly by infection during sexual intercourse, but also congenitally by infection of a developing fetus.
