Health Defintions

TermDefinition
Health Completely free from any physical problems with your body.
Wellness Being in good health along with pursuing a goal.
lifestyle factors The choose that you made for your life, health and well being.
prevention Stopping something bad from happening that either could or will happen.
health continuum The health continuum refers to an integrated system of health care that follows a patient through time or through a range of services.
heredity Physical or mental health problem/issue that was passed down from other generations.
environment The surroundings or conditions in which a person, animal, or plant lives or operates.
culture The arts and other manifestations of human intellectual achievement regarded collectively.
risk factors A risk factor is any attribute, characteristic or exposure of an individual that increases the likelihood of developing a disease or injury.
cumulative risks Cumulative risk is formally defined as the combination of risks posed by aggregate exposure to multiple agents or stressors in which aggregate exposure is exposure by all routes and pathways and from all sources of each given agent or stressor.
