| Fire Extinguishers | A device that can be used to put out fires. |
| Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) | Information sheets that must be provided by the manufacturer for all hazardous products. |
| Occupation Exposure to Hazardous Chemicals Standard | Requires that all employers inform employees of all chemicals and hazards in the workplace. |
| Occupation Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) | A division of the Department of Labor, establishes and enforces safety standards for the workplace. |
| Safety Standards | Set of rules designed to protect both the patient and the health care worker. |
