| Term | Definition |

| Emotional Wellness | Relates to our feelings (sad, happy, scared, excited) |
| Mental Wellness | Relates to our thoughts/what we think about (positive and negative) |
| Physical Wellness | Involves aspects of life that are necessary to keep yourself in top condition, such as exercising. |
| Social Wellness | Refers to the relationships we have and how we interact with others (doesn’t have to be face to face). |
| Mental Health | How you think, feel, and act in order to face life’s situations. How you look at yourself and evaluate your options. |
| Stress | Is the way your body relates to life’s pressures |
| Depression | Sadness or miserable feeling felt over a period of time; feeling of hopelessness. |
| Anxiety | Feeling of worry, nervousness, uneasiness. Typically about an event with an uncertain outcome. |
| Bipolar Disorder | Extreme periods of depression and periods of being extremely happy. |
| Schizophrenia | Hard to tell the difference between what is real and not real |
| Eating Disorders | A group of related conditions that cause serious emotional/physical problems. Each condition involves extreme food/weight issues |
| ADHD | A sense of hyperactivity. Difficulty in concentration/focusing. |
| Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) | Unwanted or repeated thoughts, feelings, ideas, sensations or feelings that make a person feel driven to do something. |
| Sexual Violence | When someone makes you do some kind of sexual activity when you don’t want to. |
| Physical Violence | When someone uses their body or a weapon to hurt your body. |
| Verbal/Emotional Violence | When someone uses words (written or said out loud) to hurt your feelings or scare you. |
| Bystander | Someone who witnesses something they know is wrong, but doesn’t get involved. |
| Upstander | The person who knows what’s happening is wrong and does something to make things right. |
| Victim | A person harmed, injured, killed as a result of a crime, accident, or other event or action. |
