| contagious | A disease or illness that is easily passed on, like a cold. |
| cavity | A hole in the tooth. This is unhealthy and painful. Keeping your teeth clean with help this from not happening. |

| insects | Small creatures with many legs. |
| depressant | A drug that slows you down, like alcohol. |
| pimples | Any small, rounded, usually inflamed swelling of the skin. |

| rash | Red and itchy skin caused by a reaction by something. |
| decay | When something is dying or rotting, like a tooth. Things turn black when it does this. |
| puberty | When the bodies of boys and girls begin to turn into men and women. This usually happens between the ages of 12 to 18. |
| hormones | The important chemicals your body makes. Some of these help turn children into adults during puberty. |
| toothpaste | The paste you use to clean your teeth. |
| damage | Injury or harm to a person or thing. |
| brain | An important organ that is found in the skull. It helps you think, move your body and breath. |
| nervous system | This is made up of the brain, the spinal cord, the nerves, and the sense organs, such as the eyes and ears. |
| toothbrush | The thing you use to brush your teeth. |
| asthma | A sickness of the lungs that needs to be taken care of with medication. |
| chemicals | A substance or thing that can be found in drugs and the human body. Some are good and some are dangerous. |
| treatment | The thing you do to fix a sickness. |
| disease | A thing that hurts the body and can be very dangerous to a person's health if untreated. |
| fluoride | A chemical found in toothpaste. |
