Health

| Health | a combination of physical, mental/emotional, and social well-being. |
| Wellness | a state of well-being or total health |
| Habit | a pattern of behavior that you follow almost without thinking. |
| Consumer | someone who buys products or services. |
| Advertisement | a message designed to influence consumers to buy a product or service. |
| Target audience | a group of people for which a product is intended |
| Fraud | a calculated effort to trick or fool others |
| Endorsement | a statement of approval |
| Infomercials | long television commercials whose main purpose seems to be to present information rather than to sell a product |
| Body Image | how you view your body |
| Eating Disorder | extreme eating behavior that can seriously damage the body. |
| Anorexia Nervosa | an emotional disorder characterized by an obsessive desire to lose weight by refusing to eat |
| Bulimia | an eating disorder in which a large quantity of food is consumed in a short period of time followed by depression and self-induced vomiting, purging, or fasting. |
| Serving Size | the amount of food or drink that is generally served |
| Body Mass Index | Body mass index is defined as the individual's body mass divided by the square of his or her height. |
| Heredity | the process by which biological parents pass traits to their children |
| Environment | the sum total of your surroundings |
| Environmental Influences | the physical, social, and cultural conditions affecting the individual's growth and development |
| Culture | the collected beliefs, customs, and behaviors of a group |
| Peers | your friends and other people in your age group |
| Volunteerism | the use or involvement of volunteer labor, esp. in community services., without getting paid |
| Community | the people of a district or country considered collectively, esp. in the context of social values and responsibilities; society |
| Common Identify | having similar interests and goals |
| Leadership | the ability to combine knowledge of self and others to achieve a common goal; leaders model responsible behavior, take risks, and are tolerant of other’s opinions |
