Conflict

| conflict | any clash of ideas or interests. |

| values | things important to you and your family (beliefs). |
| body language | communication that is done with gestures or facial expressions. |
| active listening | hearing and responding to what is being said. |
| negotiation | the act of discussing the issue of a conflict to reach an agreement. |
| compromise | a solution to a conflict in which each side give up something in order to reach an agreement. |
| collaboration | a solution in which both sides work together to get what they want. |
| mediation | a neutral third person listens to both sides to try to help resolve a conflict. |
| peer mediation | someone close to your age acts as a mediator. |
| intimidation | the act of frightening others through the use of threatening words or body language. |
| bully | a person who constantly picks on or beats up others. |
| sibling rivalry | competition between brothers and sisters. |
| tolerance | respect other people's opinions and belief. |
| aggression | any action or behavior that is hostile pr threatening to another person. |
| violence | physical force used to cause damage or injury. |
| emotions | feelings. |
| neutrality | not taking sides |
| confidentiality | keep things secret |
| possessions | something you own. |
