Muscular System GLE'

QuestionAnswer
Skeletal Muscles The muscles attached to bones that enable you to move.
Smooth Muscles the muscles found in organs, blood vessels and glands.
Cardiac Muscles Muscles found only in the walls of your heart
Voluntary Muscles Muscle whose action is normally controlled by an individual's will; mainly skeletal muscle.
Involuntary Muscles Any of the smooth muscles, except for the cardiac muscle, not under control of the will.
Muscles working in pairs How skeletal muscles move the body, ex. biceps and triceps.
Contraction The shortening of muscle fibers.
Extension The lengthening of muscle fibers.
