The Heart

QuestionAnswer
The top chambers if the heart are called what? Left and Right Atrium.
The bottom chambers oft he heart are called what? Left and Right Ventricle.
The largest artery of the heart is? What kind of blood does it pump and to where? Aorta and it pumps ixygen rich blood out to the body.
The pulmanory artery pumps what kind of blood.? To where.? Oxygen poor blood to the lungs
What can clog the arteries of the heart? What is it made of? Plauque made of fat and cholesterol.
What is Atherosclerosis? Condition of plaque clogging an artery and causing the heart to recieve less oxygen.
What is Myocardial Ischemia? When the heart uses more oxygen then it supposed to.
What is the difference between Angioplasty and bypass surgery? Bypass is when you take a vein from the leg or arm. Angioplasty is when you insert balloon and put in stent.
One cycle of CPR consist of? 30 chest compresions and 2 life breaths
How many inches do you push in on n adult's chest when giving compressions? 2 inches
Where do you place the heel of your hand when giving the compressions? Sternum
What is the purpose of CPR? To keep oxygen rich blood pumping to important organs.
