The top chambers of the heart are called what? -Right Atrium -Left Atrium
The bottom chambers of the heart are called what? -Left Ventricle -Right Ventricle
The largest artery of the heart is? What kind of blood does it pump and to where? The Aorta. It pumps oxygen rich blood out to the body.
The pulmonary artery pumps what kind of blood? to wear? The Pulmonary artery pumps oxygen poor blood to the lungst op ick up oxygen.
What can clog the arteries of the heart? what is it made of? Arteries can become clogged with plaque. Plaquei sm ade of fat and cholesterol that sticks to the wall of the artery.
Whati s Atherosclerosis? Atherosclerosis is them medical word to describe the condition of plaque clogging an artery and causing the heart to recieve less oxygen.
What is Myocardial Ischemia? When cardiac oxygen supply and demand are different. Meaning the heart uses more oxygen than it gets. This results in the death of the tissue.
What is the difference between Angioplasty and bypass surgery? In angioplasty the artery is not removed, and they put a ballon int he artery to push the plaque against the walls of the artery. but, in bypass surgrey the artery is removed and replaced with a new one from another part of your body.
One cycle of CPR consists of? 30 chest compressions and 2 rescue breaths.
How many inches do you push in on an adult's chest when giving compressions? 2 inches
Where do you place the heel of yuor hand when giving compressions? In the center of the sternum.
What is the purpose of CPR? The purpose of CPR is to keep oxygen rich blood pumping to other vital organs, like the brain, so that they do not suffer damage.
