A. V. P. U. Alert Verbal Pain Unresponsive.
Alert -can carry on a conversation with you and is aware of surroundings.
Verbal -only responds to you when you give them a command.
Pain -only responds to you when you cause mild pain.
Unresponsive -does not respond to you at all.
Applying pain Sternum Rub (knuckle to chest), Earlobe Pinch, Nail-bed Pinch.
