What are the 3 emergency action steps?? Check, Call, Care.
How do you knows its an emergency?? Use your senses! Do you SEE anything unusual?? Do you HEAR anything unusual? Do you SMELL anything unusaul??
What do you do when you first check the scene?? Look at the scene and ask yourself a question that will propect you, the victim and tell you what happened or what to do.
What question do you ask yourself to see if it is safe?? *What happened?? *Is there danger/Is it safe? *How many victims are there?? *What is wrong?? *Is there anyone else to help?? *Who should I help first??
What is the By Stander Effect?? The more people there are,the lesss likely someone is to do anything.
What are the things you say when someone is conscious and you want to help them?? Say your name, say you are trained, tell them what you plan to do, and ask them if you can help them..
What are the numbers to the Dispatcher, State Police, Poison Control and the Emergency Social Services?? Dispatcher~ 9-1-1 State Police~ #77 Poison Control~ 1800-222-1222 Emergency Social Services~ 2-1-1
What do you do if the injured person says no?? Do not touch them, call 9-1-1, and monitor them until someone comes for help.
What does PPE stand for?? Personal Protective Equipment.
What is it when you physically coming into contact with bodily fluids? Direct Contact.
What is it when droplets of something are released in the air and are inhaled or get into the Mucous Membranes?/ Airborne. Indirect Contact
What parts of the body include in the Mucous Membrane? Eyes, Nose and the Mouth.
What are the 3 P's? Preserve Life, Prevent Further Injury, and Promote Recovery.
