Step 13   Access the patients physical condition

Step 14   Discard the test strip in a biohazard bag

Step 15   Apply a band-aid on the puncture site

Step 16   Disinfect the glucometer with alcohol swabs

Step 17   Discard exam gloves in a biohazard bag  
🗑
Step 18   Wash your hands  
🗑
Step 19   Document the patients test results and physical condition in the medical record  
🗑
Step 20   Ask the patient to document all their glucose levels in a BS log
