By-product A secondary product left from the production of a primary commodity.
Hay Forages that have been cut and dried to a low level of moisture,used for animal feed.
Legume Plant in which certain nitrogen-fixing bacteria utilize nitrogen gas from the air and convert is to nitrates that the plant can use for food.
Green roughages Plant materials with high moisture content such as pastures and root plants.
silage Feed resulting from the storage and fermentation of green crops in the absence of air.
