| Brand Name | The proprietary or trade name selected by a manufacturer and placed upon a drug, its container, label, or wrapping at the time of packaging |
| Generic Name | The non proprietary name of a drug or drug ingredients |
| Legend Drug | Any drug which is required by federal or state law or regulations of the state board of pharmacy to be dispensed on prescription only or restricted to the use by practitioners only. |
