What is a positive feedback loop? The release of additional hormone in response to original hormone being released
What is a negative feedback loop? The prevention of over secretion of a hormone by turning it off when effect or level has been achieved

What is a hormone? A chemical messenger
Name 3 triggers of hormone production - nerve impulses - releasing hormones - levels of particular chemicals in blood
Where is the hypothalamus located? At the base of the brain
Name 3 hormones produced in the hypothalamus - thyrotropin (TRH) - gonadotropin (GnRH) - growth hormone (GHRH) - corticotropin (CRH) - prolactin (PIH)
What types of hormones does the hypothalamus produce? Releasing & inhibiting
