White or pale gums sign of shock or low red blood cells.
Blue or Cyanotic gums sign of low blood oxygen (hypoxia). You could see this in a choking animal
Yellow or Icteric (jaundice) gums the skin are a sign of a liver or kidney problem or destruction of red blood cells.

What are platelets important for clot formation
Complete Blood Count – CBC Measures the amount of cells that make up you blood, so will give you your red blood cell, platelet, and white blood cell count, etc…
Chemistries Measures important chemicals in the blood, such as electrolytes, proteins, glucose, etc… This gives insight into organ function esp Kidneys & Liver.
Granulocytes -Neutrophil -Basophil -Eosinophil
Agranular -Monocyte -Lymphocyte
Normal CRTS and mucous membranes The pink color of the gum should return within 2 seconds. Normal mucous membranes are a healthy pink and moist.
