Hemangiosarcoma | an incurable highly malignant tumor that occurs in the walls of blood vessels of any tissue (often the spleen). |
Leukemia | when immature WBCs are produced in too great a quantity and crowd out the other cells (RBCs & Platelets) in the blood. Without enough RBCs to supply O2, platelets to clot, and normal WBCs to fight infection the patient suffers. |
How can leukemia be diagnosed and treated? | -Initial diagnosis through blood tests & confirmed with bone marrow biopsy. -Treatment includes chemotherapy in attempt to prolong life |
