What is the function of a rake? To create rows/ swathes of grass

List 4 advantages of round bale silage. Ideal for conservation of surplus grass, no effluent = no pollution, flexible storage system, excess bales can be sold.
What are bales wrapped in? Polythene
How is air removed from grass in a pit? A loader is used to drive over the grass in a pit, to compact it.
Why is a tedder important? It shakes up the grass, allowing for faster drying, by exposing it to the sun and allowing air to pass through.
Give an example of a machine called that can bale and wrap in one operation? A fusion baler
What is the most common way which polythene on a pit is weighed down? Old tyres.
