Animal Science 1 Justify An Ordered Placing Of Animals Based On Desirable Traits

TermDefinition
Visual Observation notes of distinguishing features, positive attributes, and physical flaws or faults should be made while evaluating the animals in a class. These notes are used at a later time to aid in preparing reasons.
Class Placing & Pair Comparison based on species standards and observed features of each animal, a class placing is determined and comparisons are created for each pair of animals.
Top Pair first and second place animals.
Middle Pair second and third place animals.
Bottom Pair third and fourth place animals.
Reasons an explanation of one’s rationale for a class placing, created based on criteria and observations identified in roles.
Length should be thorough but brief, less than 2 minutes.
Accuracy only true statements should be made regarding animals and comparisons; grants or criticisms are provided when necessary.
Presentations & Delivery make eye contact with the judge, voice is clear and confident, given at a steady pace (avoid hesitation), correct grammar and terminology.
Introduction (Organization) provide name of the class and placement.
Summary (Organization) provide final statement.
