Palmar sole of the forefeet of a domestic animal (pal'mar)
Dorsalpalmar Pertaining to the dorsum and sole
Planter sole of the backfeet of a domestic animal (plan'tar)
Dorsalplanter Pertaining to the dorsum and sole
Ventral Pertaining to the belly
clinically refers to those surfaces of the head neck trunk
Dorsoventral Pertaining to the back and belly
Lateral pertaining to the side (Later'al)
Mediolateral Pertaining to the middle and the side
Palmarodorsal pertaining to the "palm" and dorsum
Plantardorsal pertaining to the sole and dorsum
Posterior pertaining to the rear (pos-ter'e-or)
Rostral Pertaining to the nose (ros'tral)
Contralateral Pertaining to the opposite side (kon"trah-lat'er-al)
Ipsilateral pertaining to the same side of the body (ip'si-lat'er-al)
median plane divides the body into equal left and right halves
Sagittal planes pass vertically through the body or organs and divide them into right and left sections
Dorsal plane Divides the body into dorsal and ventral parts
transverse plane horizontal division of the body into upper and lower portions
