TermDefinition
Ab- Abduction means away from take away from the midline
A- Atraumatic means without or no without injury
An- Anuria without or no absence of urine
Ad- Adductioin means toward toward the midline
Anti- Antimetics against work against or prevent vomiting
Dys- Dysphagia difficult, painful, or bad difficulty eating/swallowing
Endo- Endocrine within or inside to secrete internally
Endoparasite organism that lives within the body of the host
Eu- Euthyroid good,easy, or normal
Ex/Exo- Exocrine without, out of, outside, away from to secrete externally
Ecto- Ectoparasite means outside organism that lives on the outside of the host.
Hyper- Hyperglycemia elevated, higher than normal elevated blood glucose
Hypo- Hypoglycemia depressed, lower than normal low blood glucose
Inter- Intercoastal between between the ribs
Intra- Intramuscular means within within the muscle
Poly- Polyuria excessive or many excessive amount/frequent urination
Oligo- Oliguria scant or little scant amount of urination
Pre- Preanesthetic before pertaining to before anesthesia
Post- Postanesthetic after pertaining to after anesthsia
Sub- Sublingual below, under, or less Under the tongue
Super-/Supra- Supernumary/Suprascapular above, beyond, excessive more than the reg. number/above the shoulder blade
