| Ethylene Oxide | Carcinogenic chemical used to sterilize equipment. |
| Formalin | Carcinogenic chemical used for tissue prevention, diagnostic tests and even sterilization. |
| Glutaraldehyde | Chemical used to sterilize hard instruments without an autoclave. |
| Zoonotic disease | Disease passed from animal to human. |
| Hospital Safety Manual | A collection of written safety related policies. |
| "Right to know" Law | Law that requires you be informed of all the chemicals you may be exposed to while doing your job. |
| Hazardous materials Plan | Plan that includes instructions for organizing and maintain the practices right to know documents. |
| Rabies | Almost always fatal, this is a virus that is spread by contact with an infected animals saliva. |
| Lyme disease | When an infected deer tick bites a host and Borrelia Burgdorferi is transferred. Bacterial Infection. |

| Visceral Larval Migrans | Roundworm larvae can migrate to virtually any organ in the body and develop a cyst-like growth. Internal parasite. |

| Toxoplasmosis | Causes effects on the development of a human fetus by causing hydrocephalus and mental retardation. |
| Giardia | Zoonotic protozoal agent. Causes diarrhea and gastrointestinal cramping in humans. |
| Coccidia | Zoonotic protozoal agent. Causes diarrhea and gastrointestinal cramping in humans. |
| Sarcoptic Mange | Irritating an itchy mite. form of mange caused by the itch mite and tending to affect chiefly the abdomen and hindquarters. |
| Parvoviral enteritis | Parvo is an infectious DNA virus that commonly causes severe illness in young and unvaccinated dogs. |
| Panleukopenia | an acute usually fatal epizootic disease especially of cats that is caused by a parvovirus (species Feline panleukopenia virus of the genus Parvovirus) |
| Waste Anesthetic Gases (WAGs) | Small amounts of anesthetic gases that leak from the patient's anesthetic breathing circuit* into the air of operating rooms during delivery of anesthesia. |
