Microscopic anatomy deals with structures so small we need a microscope to see
Macroscopic anatomy- (gross anatomy) deals with body parts large enough to be seen with the unaided eye

Median runs the length of the body divides into left and right equally

Organelles tiny organs
Ribosomes protein synthesis, envelopes and moves throughout cell
Endoplasmic Reticulum (Smooth) (no ribosomes) active in the synthesis and storage of lipids
Endoplasmic Reticulum (Rough) (ribosomes attached) involved in production of protein
Golgi apparatus receive proteins from ER and modify by adding sugar groups. Then package into vesicles and distribute.
Cytoskeleton Outer layer of cell
Cytosol Fluid of cell
Why do cells divide? Growth, Repair, Cellular Replacement
