Atria The upper chambers of the heart. There is a right and left atrium.
blood major transport medium in an anima's body. Carries mutrients, oxygen, and water to cells and removes waste from them.
blood pressure pressure placed on the walls of the heart and blood vessels as blood circulates through the body.
blood stream blood flowing through the body of an animal.
cardivascular system body system that includes heart and blood vessels throughout the body and distributes blood throughout the body
circulation movement of blood through blood vessels throughout the body
diastole pressure in blood vessels when the heart is at rest during contractions
erythrocytes Red blood cells which deliver oxygen to body tissues, and remove carbon dioxide from those tissues via the bloodstream.
external respiration process of exchanging air between the external enviroment and the lungs

internal respiration process of exchanging oxygen and carbon dioxide at the cellular level between the cells and blood
