Abdomen midsection; stomach
Hindquarters Hindquarters rear end

Grooming the act of keeping clean
Fry baby or young fish
Fertilize pollinate; inseminate; impregnate
Offspring the young or product of animal or plant
Pressure Bandage bandage used to stop bleeding
Inherited passed on from one generation to another
Palpating examining and feeling with the hands
Physical Examination good inspection of all or parts of an animal or human body
Pulse regular throbbing caused in the arteries by blood traveling through
Respiration the single complete act of breathing (both in and out movements)
Parasites mites, fleas, ticks, lice; an organism living on or in another organism
Elements the things (carbohydrates, protein, fat, vitamins, minerals) that provide good nutrition
Breeding producing more of something: the process of bearing or generating
Genetic Characteristics qualities or traits that can be inherited
Recessive Characteristic an inherited characteristic that produces little or no effect
Dominant Characteristic an inherited characteristic that is commanding, controlling, or prevailing over all others
Purebred an animal that has characteristics that can be recognized easily and have stayed the same through generations of unmixed breeding
