Alimentary Canal | A long muscular tube. |
Anus | A hole which opens. |
Colon | Large intestine. |
Digestive System | Is responsible for physical and chemical breakdown of food. |
Duodenum | 9-10 inches long and is the beginning of the small intestines. |
Esophagus | Is a muscular tube dorsal to behind the trachea. |
Gallbladder | Is a small, muscular sac located under the liver and is attached to the liver by the connective tissue. |
Hard Palate | Bony structure that forms the roof of the mouth and separates the mouth from the nasal cavity. |
Ileum | Is 12 feet long and it connects with the large intestines at the cecum. |
Jejunum | Is the middle section of the small intestines. |
