Splint   type of orthosis used to maintain position and prevent contractures of the arm and hand.

Supportive device   Used to help maintain a patients body in a specific position

Transfer   Procedure followed when changing a patients location.

Trochanter roll   rolled sheet or bath blanket placed under the patient extending from waist to mid-thigh. Positioned against the hip to prevent lateral hip rotation.
