What were Cyrus's achievements?   He began to conquer more lands and within 20 years he became king of an empire that stretched from India all he way to the borders of Egypt.

Who reigned after the death of Cyrus?   His son Cambyses had reigned the kingdom from 530-520 B.C.E, during 525 B.C.E he had conquered the lands of Egypt and brought all of its wealths to Persia.

Which realm was the largest empire?   Darius (reigned 521-486 B.C.E.); largest extent of empire; population thirty-five million

What occurred in 520 B.C.E?   Darius began to build a new capital at Persepolis.

What did Persepolis serve as?   As an administrative center and a monument to the Achaemenid dynasty, as well as the nerve center of the Persian Empire.
