| Atheist | someone who does not believe there is a God |
| Deposit of Faith | A gift from God for the world to know about him, it has 2 parts 1) Sacred Tradition and 2) Sacred Scripture, these two were given to the Magisterium to teach and to keep safe. |
| Covenant | a binding promise between God and humankind in which God pledges enduring love and asks for our love in return |
| Divine Revelation | God’s free gift of self-communication that helps us understand God’s plan for us (God shows Himself to us) |
| Salvation History | the account of God’s saving actions and interventions within human history |
| Virtue | an inclination and habitual preference for the good (a good habit) |
| Magisterium | the teaching authority of the Church (the Pope and bishops with him) |
| Sacred Scripture | the written record of Divine Revelation, the Bible. |
