Basic Word Structure - roots and rules

Prefix Word part at beginning
Combining vowel 'O' is frequently shown as the combining vowel at the end of the root word. This is dropped when the suffix also begins with a vowel.
Word analysis process Begin at the end of the word then move to the beginning and across eg. gastr/o enter/o logy = study of stomach and intestines
