What is Fertile Crescent? Fertile Crescent is a large band of fertile land that forms an oasis in the midst of deserts and mountains of Southwest Asia.

This is a political unit with its own government. City State.
The Sumerians practice this belief which is the worship of more than one God. Polytheism.
What is a Dynasty? A series of rulers from one family.
What is the name of Sumerian writing which was used with sharp tools called styluses? Cuneiform.
The Akkadian ruler around 1330 BC, was the first ruler to create a permanent army. Sargon.
Who is Hammurabi? In 1792 BC he became the king of Babylon. He was a brilliant warrior , he united all of Mesopotamia into what is now called the Babylonian Empire.
What is several tribes who spoke the related language? Indo-Europeans.
What is Steppes? Arid grassland, north of the Black Sea.
Who is the most famous Chaldean King? He was known as both a warrior and a builder. Nebuchadnezzar II.
What is Judaism? A religion in which we learned about Hebrews.
This is the must sacred text of Judaism, and is part of the Hebrew Bible. The Torah.
Who is Abraham? A shepherd who lived near Ur in Mesopotamia. God told him to leave Mesopotamia and abandon the polytheism he had grown up with.
What is a solemn promise? A covenant.
This is means "Ancestor Fathers". Patriarchs.

What was Exodus? The journey in which Moses lead the Israelite's out of Egypt.

What is monotheism? The belief in one God.
Who is Cyrus the Great? A new leader who arose among the Persians in 559 BC, he would change everything.
After the death of of Cambyses arose a new leader of Persia. He had to fight to restore order in Persia. Who is this? Darius I.
Satraps. Governors Darius I choose.
This the son of Darius I who tried to expand his fathers success. Xerxes.
What is Dualism? The belief that the world is controlled by two opposing forces; good and evil.
Born in C. 628 founded a religion that attracted millions of followers. The religion is called Zoroastrianism. Zoroaster.
