fibrin insoluble protein fibers that help form a blood clot
vasoconstriction reducing the diameter of a vessel
valves permit blood flow in one direction to prevent backflow
artery carry oxygenated blood away from the heart
vein carry deoxygenated blood to the heart/lungs
plaque fatty deposits in the vessels that restrict blood flow
