What is a messiah? an anointed king sent by God
What does the word apostle mean? a person sent forth
Who was Paul? he was a Jew from Asia Minor who played a big role in spread Christianity
Who are martyrs? people who die for their beliefs
What is the clergy? a group of people
What is a heresies? beliefs said to be contrary to offcial Church teachings
What does the word theology? talk or discourse about God
Who was Diocletian? emperor that wanted to restore Roman
What is inflation? rapid rise in prices
What was the name of the new capital? Constantinople
Who were the huns? migraters
Who were mercenaries? people that fought for pay
Who fought mostly for Roman? the mercenaries
What is something that Romans lacked? patriotism
