Introduction to plastics

Plastics are a group of materials made up of Long chain molecules.
A large group of them are known as HydroCarbons because they consists of both hydro and carbon atoms in various combinations with other atoms.
Plastics are becoming..... more popular by replacing more traditional materials for example: the kettle was originally made out of metal but has been replaced by plastic
